Precise solutions for complex tube geometries

The Combined Bending Center (CBC) machines from Felss stand for precise and flexible tube bending. Thanks to their modular design, different bending processes – such as rotary-draw, roll, push-roll or collet bending – can be used individually or in combination. This enables the production of complex tube geometries with short straight sections between bends.

The CBC tube bending machines are available in both Classic and Compact versions.

The Process: Tube Bending

With Felss tube bending, tube sections are automatically fed into a CNC-controlled machine and then bent. The bending head can reproduce various bending processes, making it possible to realise a wide range of tube geometries on a single system. Applications include fuel and brake lines as well as heat exchanger tubes.

Flexible in Compact and Classic

The CBC series is available in two versions Compact and Classic. Both are based on the same modular principle, but differ in their focus:

  • CBC Compact – ideal when fast commissioning and a small footprint are required. The integrated control cabinet makes the machine particularly space-saving, while standard assemblies ensure straightforward configuration.
  • CBC Classic – designed for more complex tasks. It meets extensive specifications and allows interlinking with further processes such as end forming, washing or measuring tasks.

Together, the CBC family covers a wide range – from space-saving stand-alone machines to fully integrated production cells. This ensures that every production requirement can be met without compromising on precision or bending quality.

Advantages of tube bending machines

  • Highest bending quality thanks to maximum tube circumference
  • Minimised tube collapse thanks to special tool geometry
  • Small radius-to-diameter ratios without the use of a bending mandrel
  • Complex pipe geometries with short straight lengths between the bends
  • Roll, draw, push-roll and collet bending possible
  • Left and right-hand bending, multiple bending planes and bending radii in one tool
  • Operation via graphical user interface including 3D visualisation of the bending process

Possible component sizes

  • Tube diameter: 3.2 x 0.7 to 12 x 1.5 mm
  • Free tube length: approx. 90-1,200 mm (optionally up to 1,500 mm)

Complex lines in perfect shape

Whether common rail, brake or fuel lines: CBC machines bend complex geometries with precision and repeatability. The result is components that integrate seamlessly into demanding systems.
