Why use cold forming in component manufacturing?
Cold forming offers a wide range of advantages over machining processes in component manufacturing. The forming process significantly increases the strength of the material. As a result, substantially lighter components can be produced while maintaining the same load-bearing capacity, making cold forming ideally suited for the manufacture of lightweight components for the automotive industry and other demanding sectors.
In addition, cold forming allows significantly tighter dimensional tolerances to be achieved in component manufacturing than with other production methods. Material waste is also minimized.
