Tube bending
As a cold forming process, tube bending preserves the material’s original structure, ensuring a high level of stability. Our machines can produce even the most complex geometries with short straight sections between bends using a variety of bending processes. They can be used either as space-saving stand-alone solutions or as part of a highly automated production cell.
How does tube bending work?
When tubes are bent using CNC-controlled Felss machines, the tube sections to be processed are automatically fed into the machine and formed. Roll, draw, push-roll and collet bending can be performed from either end of the tube using just one bending head. Applications of tube bending
Felss tube bending machines can produce even highly complex tube geometries. This makes them an ideal choice for manufacturing brake and clutch lines as well as injection systems for diesel and petrol engines. Why should tubes be bent using a cold forming process?
Unlike hot forming, cold forming processes are particularly gentle on the material when bending tubes, as the metal is not exposed to heat that could alter its crystalline structure. They are also highly efficient because no time or energy is required to heat the material.
